Great Information for Employers

Canada-Yukon Job Fund (2 Programs Released Sept 1st, 2014)
Under the Canada Job Fund there are 3 program streams (Canada Job Grant, Employment Services & Supports, & one program which has not been developed/implemented at this point called Employer-Sponsored Training)

1) The Canada Job Grant is a training support program for employers which assists employers in providing training to existing, new, or potential employees. Training MUST be third party & can take place in a classroom, workplace, or online. Costs are shared by the employer & advanced education.
(From my understanding Advanced Education covers 2/3 the cost, while the employer covers 1/3; although, 1/2 of that 1/3 can be claimed as wages).
Please note: Your application must be approved by Advanced Education before the start of the training activity.
For more information about the Canada Job Grant program or to contact directly Advanced Education please visit the web site below.

2) Employment Services & Supports Program is there to assist individuals who need support to enter the labour market. Please view the web site below for more information on what types of training are eligible.
